Samsung Galaxy Grand Review

Samsung has made some major upgrades this time, trying to fix the bugs of the first Galaxy Grand. It can be said that this time they were actually successful. Grand 2 is a great phone if you are looking for a large screen phone with good performance. However, if you don’t care about the screen size, there are better phones with similar specifications at much lower prices.

After the release of the first Galaxy Grand phone last January, Samsung has completed the second iteration of the series. This time, the Korean electronics company has significantly improved the specifications of its new large phone. But does it meet the expectations of its loyal Samsung users? Lets find it.

This time, Samsung decided to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor on the Big 2 instead of the Cortex processors found on most other mid-range smartphones. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with ARMv7 architecture and an integrated Adreno 305 GPU. The smartphone comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It is a dual SIM smartphone with both slots that support GSM networks. It has 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory. To avoid running out of memory, there is a memory card slot under the removable back cover, which can be expanded up to 64 GB. The phone has an 8 MP camera on the back and a 1.9MP camera on the front for video calls.

As for connectivity, there is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB and GPS, and the battery has a capacity of 2600 mAh.

The Grand 2 has a generic Samsung design with a slightly slimmer case. He has a beautiful physique and fits well in the hand. However, with dimensions of 146.8 x 75.3 x 8.9 mm, the phone is slightly larger for one-handed operation. When you need to check your notifications, it is difficult to reach the top of the screen with your thumb while holding the phone with one hand.

The phone has a chrome plate around the phone, which adds the refined look of the phone. The Power / Lock and volume buttons are located on the right and left, respectively. Both are also chromed. The USB port is located at the bottom and a headphone jack is located at the top.

The front panel has a bright 5.2-inch TFT display on which the handset is located. The earphone is accompanied by a proximity /light sensor and the front camera.
